A research book about a very frequent type of noise pollution: loud voices. Interestingly, there are people accustomed to living in societies where speaking loudly is considered acceptable, so they have not stopped to think that the noise of human voices can be a type of noise pollution, sometimes isolated and sometimes accompanied by other noises. Theoretically, the noise of voices can certainly be reduced, simply by moderating the intensity of the voice. However, it seems that this is not so easy for some people and some social groups. This book reviews various scientific and social aspects related to noise and loud voices, as well as their impact on health.
